Shamefaced means “feeling or expressing shame or embarrassment”.
The sculpture is a reflection on intimacy and its types. It depicts a male figure in a classic counter-stance pose. He covers his face with his hands and shamelessly exposes his body in return.

Colorful geometric elements constitute a kind of “decoration” which, like jewelry, covers even more and distracts attention from the face. It is said that “the eyes are mirrors of the soul”, if this is true, we will not know the stories of this soul, because they are irrevocably and forever hidden. In return, we can admire a harmoniously built body at will, and probably for many it will be enough.
On the one hand, this sculpture is an expression of a critical attitude towards the contemporary culture of the image, which promises quick but superficial satisfaction and, taking advantage of the momentary attention, announces another excitement without allowing the previous one to sound out.
On the other hand, it argues with the Aristotelian concept of kalokagathia, which says that the two values of beauty and good are inseparable. Does it always have to be this way? Is this the case? After all, all we see is a beautiful body.
