I’m not gonna be a black eye piggy bank. A unique ceramic sculpture, high-fusing sculptural mass of fireclay with porcelite for manual molding, engobed, glazed. Height: 58 cm. The head was created in the company of many other “piggy banks”. The piggy bank relies on a useful hole, among other things. In the case of ceramics, this is the opening that allows the gases to escape from the interior during the firing process. Due to the fact that the holes are sometimes frivolous, and the head that I was making was heading towards “very seriously”, I decided to make this necessary hole as least practical as possible and thus prevent its use by bending it downwards. However, for the sake of contrariness, in the back of the head I added a different and much larger opening – helpful in the transport of a heavy, because this time quite thickly glued form.
