“World Obsession” is a work that was created in 2006, when bird flu was prevalent in Poland. It was my personal reaction to this difficult period in our country. It has become a symbol of man’s isolation from the surrounding world and isolation from public space. It is also a sign of present times, human isolation caused by Covid19, removing us from contact with nature, space and other people. “World Obsession” is a symbol of great distance and distrust of those around. We begin to live obsessed with the apocalyptic end of the world.
