“The sculpture tells the story of a dream. A male figure climbs up on his toes and raises his hand. The battle against gravity continues. The forms on the back – perhaps unformed wings – add to the mass of the muscular torso, grounding the figure even more. Unfulfilled desire sometimes becomes an obsession, then the lack becomes more present than what is physically. Dark legs connected by color to the base form an inseparable whole. The torso is saturated with turquoise, the color brightens at the top, bringing out a hand and an almost white face. fulfillment. But the idea remains.
