Once, rushing to the City Hall (in order to settle certain formal matters that absorbed my attention) I stumbled upon the struggle of two black birds, which lasted only a moment. Something shuddered inside me. The brutality and violence of the antagonists, almost unnoticed by passers-by, fascinated me. Probably the rest of the world to these beings for a while was as irrelevant as they are irrelevant to the rest of the world. There weren’t two crows at this point, only a flutter. Thus, the sculpture does not show birds, but a fight – that short moment when, at a critical point in the competition, the escalating brutality of the opponents makes them no longer differ from each other. The physical stability of my composition is ensured by the golden ball symbolizing the reason for this small but violent dispute.
