Janusz Wątor deals with wood and bronze sculpture.

He graduated from the State Secondary School of Fine Arts. A. Kenar in Zakopane and the Sculpture Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. He received his diploma in 1994. He is the son of Jan Wątor (woodcarver and sculptor).

Works with galleries in Poland and abroad. He took part in many individual and collective exhibitions. He is the author of many statuettes, incl. the “Laurel of Krakow of the 21st Century” awarded since 2001 to people of particular merit for the city, such as: Prof. Tadeusz Chrzanowski, Prof. Jerzy Wyrozumski, Jan Kanty-Pawluśkiewicz, Jerzy Stuhr, Father Leon Knabit. He is the originator and author of the sculpture “Łoskara”, presented to John Cleese, actor and co-founder of “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” for advertising the town of Pcim. He is also the author of the “Cultural ram” statuette, awarded during the Jazz Spring in Zakopane to outstanding personalities. It was received, among others, by prof. Rosław Szaybo, Andrzej Dziuk and the world-famous violinist Nigel Kennedy.
